PixelRust When I thought about this album and tried to connect its serene and chilling sound with my own education throughout my life, I was able to recall some fuzzy memories from when I was a young child: My imagination roamed as I tapped illustrations in a picture book with the Leap Pad's pen; leaving home for school for the first time almost surreal. This album is a culmination of those feelings, the threat of reality just barely audible. The occasional trap percussion isn't even out of place, either. Favorite track: GYM CLASS.

Haunted Ghost Some truly immersive and achingly beautiful ambient music here. Parts Balam Acab, part Olafur Arnalds, the music on this album deftly navigates ambient and neo-classical terrain in a way that pays off in a pure and emotional way. Favorite track: STUDY GUIDE.

flatcat Back to school. Late summer fades into early autumn. I tie my Stan Smiths, button my 501's, wrap my books in grocery bags and head into class. The season moves on. New TV shows, football games, European exchange students eating hamburgers. Leaves fall and rain comes to the valley as the first November moon rises. I'm going to miss 1983.

This album makes you feel like you're inside an old computer that is on it's last legs. Everything is glitchy, aggressive, and decaying around you.
